	ACUTE HAZARDS	PREVENTION	FIRE FIGHTING
FIRE & EXPLOSION	Not combustible. Gives off irritating or toxic fumes (or gases) in a fire.	See Chemical Dangers.	In case of fire in the surroundings, use appropriate extinguishing media.

PREVENT DISPERSION OF DUST AND FUMES! IN ALL CASES CONSULT A DOCTOR!
	SYMPTOMS	PREVENTION	FIRST AID
Inhalation	Cough. Sore throat. Burning sensation. Laboured breathing. Shortness of breath. Symptoms may be delayed. See Notes.	Use local exhaust or breathing protection.	Fresh air, rest. Half-upright position. Artificial respiration may be needed. Refer immediately for medical attention.
Skin	Redness. Pain. Skin burns.	Protective gloves.	Rinse skin with plenty of water or shower for at least 15 minutes. Refer for medical attention .
Eyes	Redness. Pain. Severe burns.	Wear safety goggles or eye protection in combination with breathing protection if powder.	Rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible). Refer immediately for medical attention.
Ingestion	Sore throat. Burning sensation in the throat and chest. Nausea. Vomiting. Abdominal pain. Shock or collapse.	Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work. Wash hands before eating.	Do NOT induce vomiting. Give one or two glasses of water to drink. Refer immediately for medical attention.

SPILLAGE DISPOSAL	CLASSIFICATION & LABELLING
Personal protection: particulate filter respirator adapted to the airborne concentration of the substance. Do NOT let this chemical enter the environment. Sweep spilled substance into covered containers. Carefully collect remainder. Then store and dispose of according to local regulations. STORAGE

ENVIRONMENT
The substance is very toxic to aquatic organisms. It is strongly advised not to let the chemical enter into the environment.

NOTES
Other UN: 1840 Zinc chloride solution, Hazard Class 8. The symptoms of lung oedema often do not become manifest until a few hours have passed and they are aggravated by physical effort. Rest and medical observation are therefore essential.
