	ACUTE HAZARDS	PREVENTION	FIRE FIGHTING
FIRE & EXPLOSION	Gives off irritating or toxic fumes (or gases) in a fire.		In case of fire in the surroundings, use appropriate extinguishing media.

	SYMPTOMS	PREVENTION	FIRST AID
Inhalation	Cough. Sore throat. Headache. Burning sensation. Shortness of breath. Laboured breathing.	Use ventilation (not if powder). Use local exhaust or breathing protection.	Fresh air, rest. Half-upright position. Refer immediately for medical attention.
Skin	MAY BE ABSORBED! Redness. Skin burns. Pain.	Protective gloves. Protective clothing.	Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse skin with plenty of water or shower for at least 15 minutes. Refer immediately for medical attention .
Eyes	Redness. Pain. Blurred vision. Severe burns.	Wear safety spectacles, face shield or eye protection in combination with breathing protection.	Rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible). Refer immediately for medical attention.
Ingestion	Abdominal pain. Burning sensation. Diarrhoea. Nausea. Vomiting. Shock or collapse.	Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work. Wash hands before eating.	Rinse mouth. Do NOT induce vomiting. Refer immediately for medical attention.

SPILLAGE DISPOSAL	CLASSIFICATION & LABELLING
Personal protection: chemical protection suit including self-contained breathing apparatus. Do NOT let this chemical enter the environment. Sweep spilled substance into sealable containers. If appropriate, moisten first to prevent dusting. Then store and dispose of according to local regulations. ENVIRONMENT
The substance is very toxic to aquatic organisms. Bioaccumulation of this chemical may occur along the food chain, for example in fish and crustacea. Avoid release to the environment in circumstances different to normal use.

NOTES
The card was preperated based on analogy to phenylmercuric acetate. Do NOT take working clothes home.
